Governor, CM greet people on Ugadi
Hyderabad : Governor E.S. Narasimhan has greeted the people on the occasion of Ugadi festival to be celebrated on Sunday.
“On this happy and auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and to the Telugu people across the World. Ugadi is a festival of joy and hope and the New Year shall bring with it new cheer and a bright future," the Governor said in his message.
The Governor expressed confidence that 'Sri Vilambi Nama Samvatsaram' would usher in peace, prosperity, harmony and happiness to all people and sections of the society.
In a separate message, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has conveyed his Ugadi greetings to the people in Telangana State. He desired that in the Sri Vilambi Telugu New Year people in the State live in peace, happiness, and prosperity. He also desired that the welfare and development schemes, programmes being implemented by the government reach people and the state should march ahead.
