Intermediate student ends life after tiff with father

An Intermediate student committed suicide in Nagole on Thursday after being chided by her parents.

The victim, Sai Priya was awaiting her results having recently appeared for her intermediate exams.

Her father, Bhopal Reddy had faulted her for chatting with her sister on WhatsApp further warning her against overuse of cellphone.

Upset over this, Priya locked herself in her bedroom and hanged herself to the ceiling fan. The parents broke down the door and rushed the girl to the nearby Supraja Hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead.

While her father stated that Priya committed suicide as she had not performed well in the examinations, a suicide note recovered by the police stated otherwise.

The note stated, "I am making everyone angry and I don't know why I am still alive... Sorry Daddy... I love mommy and Daddy. I am not committing suicide because of my inter exams, I wrote them well... My father and sister will be so happy with my death."

Police have registered a case and a probe is on.
