TRS may back no-trust move

Update: 2018-03-17 08:04 IST

Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is likely to extend support to the no-confidence motion moved by the YSR Congress Party and TDP against the BJP-led NDA government in Parliament. The TRS Parliamentary Party (TRSPP) was holding discussions on the issue of extending support to the no-trust motion.

The party is inclined to back AP’s ruling TDP and Opposition YSR Congress’ struggle for special status to the state. TRS MPs have already expressed solidarity with the TDP and YSR Congress MPs, who have been fighting for SCS during the budget session.

TRS MP Kavitha also spoke in the Lok Sabha in support of the agitating Andhra MPs for several times. Senior TRS leader and Lok Sabha MP B Vinod said they have brought the issue of the no-confidence motion to the notice of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.

KCR has already expressed his serious concern over the Centre’s failure in respecting the sentiments of Andhra people at a press conference recently. Sources said that KCR will take a decision whether to stand by the Andhra parties on the contentious issue in a day or two.
