MANUU hosts national conference on emerging trends in IT

Hyderabad : Prof. R.S. Nirjar, Former Chairman, AICTE, asked the student community to work for the improvement of the deteriorating environment in the country.
 
Speaking at the inaugural session of two-day national conference on “Emerging Trends and Issues in Information Technology & Communications” at MANUU, on Friday and Saturday Prof. Nirjar said that if urgent measures were not taken the situation could go beyond control.
 
The conference was organized by School of Computer Science and Information Technology of Maulana Azad National Urdu University with a view to providing a forum for researchers and professionals from academia and industry to exchange views on deteriorating environment in the country and suggest ways to check the slide.
 
Delivering the keynote address on "IT Trends, Security & Few Strategic Imperatives”, Prof. Khurram Mustafa of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, underscored the need for ethical handling of information technology related issues.
 
Dr. M. A. Sikandar, Registrar MANUU, presided over the session.
 
Dr. A. Ashok, In-charge Vice-Chancellor, IIIT, Basara & Commissioner and Secretary of the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State, in valedictory address that the days are not far when India will have robots handling multiple tasks which are being tackled by humans. In Telangana, he said, most of the government departments have been completely computerised. “All utility bills are being prepared by transactions made online,” he said.
 
Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of CS & IT, welcomed the guests and Dr. Pradeep Kumar explained the objectives of the conference.
 
In all 82 research papers were presented during the conference.
