BT Road Surface to be taken up to Panchayat Raj roads

Hyderabad : Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said that the State Government has decided to take BT Road Surface up to Panchayat Raj and R& B Roads which was not done earlier.  However, he said that the B T Road Renewals works will be taken after 5 years life span and after inspection report. 
 
He was answering to a question raised by TRS member Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly on Thursday. He admitted that many roads are in bad condition due to non completion of BT renewals to the said roads particularly in Dubbaka constituency saying that after formation of Telangana. The government have sanctioned massive BT renewals in the state. he said 119.45 km BY road length is sanctioned in Dubbaka Assembly Constituency for renewals and completed.  Further 88.60 kmsnis identified as eligible for renewal during 2018019 and it is under consideration.
 
He said that the total length of R&B roads in Dubbka Constituency is 366 km. out of which 160 km was improved in the last three years and 11 km is under progress.  The remaining length of the roads is in traffic worthy condition.
 
Responding to an another question of TRS ember G. Sunita and others, the Minister informed that the new Panchayat Raj Act will be tabled on the floor of the House during this session.  He has also made it clear that the executive power to the Sarpanches will not be devolved as per the 73rd Amendment to the Constitution of India.
