Jagadish Reddy: No increase in the power charges

Power Minister Jagadish Reddy on Saturday answered the questions raised by the legislative members during Question Hour in the assembly. 

Making it clear that there is no increase in the power charges, he said that there are no power cuts in the state and Telangana is providing 24 hours of electricity.

The Minister also informed that the construction of substations in the state will be speeded up and all villages are being ensured continuous power supply.

Explaining further, he said, “The voltage issue in villages has been brought to the attention of the authorities. There will be problems in 20 villages under a Substation. It is not possible to construct a substation for each village. All villages are provided with quality power.”

Jagadish Reddy clarified that steps are being taken to ensure power supply and line maintenance in the villages.
