Many States replicating Telangana State schemes: Harish Rao
Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao informed that the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) had issued 108 notifications so far to fill 30,490 jobs. He said while the recruitment process has completed for 6,463 posts, for the remaining 12,812 posts, it was under process.
On behalf of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Harish Rao was replying to a question raised in the Assembly. The Irrigation Minister said the government had filled more jobs, and the recruitment process of 30,490 jobs was done through TSPSC only. He said the recruitment process of 12,812 jobs would be completed soon.
There are other departments including the police and other corporations where recruitment was going on, he informed. Regarding advertisements in newspapers, the Minister said because of the advertisements, the people from other States were getting to know the good works being taken up by the TRS government, and the other States were also implementing the schemes of the government.
Harish also informed that 45 new Urdu newspapers were empanelled and Rs 4.32 crore was spent on the small newspapers Regarding the issuing of accreditation cards to journalists, Harish Rao said 16,793 scribes in the State got accreditation cards and 35,863 health cards were issued to journalist and their families including their parents. State government was paying Rs 5 lakh as ex gratia if any journalist dies in an accident.
He said the government provided assistance to about 203 journalist families, including 151 journalists who died and 52 injured in accidents. “The Chief Minister has allocated Rs 34.50 crore under Journalist Welfare Scheme and another Rs 20 crore for health cards,” he added.
