Social initiative to reach out to local populace

Hyderabad : The Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway under took a unique activity to benefit the local populace in and around Gollapalli railway station, Mahbubnagar District on the Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar section today.
 
Railtel Wi-fi facility has been provided at Gollapalli Railway station on Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar section. Apart from this, two personal computers have also been provided at Gollapalli station, to bridge the digital divide. The Zilla Parishad High school (6th to 10th standard) is located at a stone’s throw away distance from the railway station.  Also, the village is located within 1 km from the station.
 
While launching these facilities today, Hyderabad Divisional Railway Manager Arun Kumar Jain said that PC and wi-fi facility would provide the necessary platform to the villagers and students to access all e-gov services, educational websites etc., which will be of immense help to them. Also people can use Wi-fi facility on their smart phones.
 
Health check up camp was conducted for villagers of Gollapalli and other adjoining villages. Career counselling of students of Gollapalli and other adjoining villages on monthly basis has also been included in this initiative.
 
K.Srinivas Goud, Sarpanch, School authorities and villagers appreciated the efforts of Railway authorities in making these facilities available at the station of their village.
