Telangana Assembly adjourned sine die

The budget session of Telangana Assembly and Council came to end on Thursday.

Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary adjourned the Assembly sine die after the House passed two Bills on Panchayat Raj and Municipalities.

The Assembly functioned for 13 days during which different issues were discussed for 60 hours and 58 minutes. As many 80 Starred Questions were answered orally and 94 Un-starred Questions were included in the lists and circulated to members. A total of 50 Starred Questions and 2 Un-Starred questions were placed on the table of the House today. A total of 235 supplementary questions were answered.

A total of 85 speeches were made by the members while the Chief Minister made two statements. The House adopted one resolution and 11 bills were introduced and passed during the budget session.

Giving details of party-position in Assembly, the Speaker informed that the TRS has 82 members, Congress -17, AIMIM - 7, BJP - 5, TDP - 3, CPI - 1, CPI (M) - 1, Independent - 1, Nominated - 1 and two vacant.
