TSBIE invites online applications for hostels in private jr colleges
Hyderabad: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has notified inviting online applications from the management of private unaided junior colleges in the State for registration and sanction of permission to run the hostels within the premises or outside the premises of their colleges for the academic year 2018-19.
According to a press release, in the interest of the students’ community and to avoid any unforeseen incidents in the hostels, the TSBIE decided to register and grant permission and regulate the hotels' functioning within the premises or outside the premises of private junior college from the academic year 2018-19.
Accordingly, the managements of the private junior colleges were asked to submit their online applications starting from April 5. The applicants should pay an inspection fee and hostel permission fee depending on the location of the hostels like GHMC, municipal and Nagar Panchayats and Gram Panchayat areas. Depending on the area the fee must be paid only through online mode, it said.
In addition to the inspection and permission fees, the applicants should deposit sums depending on the number of borders in the hostel in a joint account of the secretary of the board, Correspondent of the College Management society running the hostels and the District Intermediate Education Officer and nodal officer of the concerned district. The value of the deposit varies with the number of hostelries, it said.
However, the authorities concerned should issue No Objection Certificate (NOC) to run the hostels, trade license issued by GHMC or local body, Food Safety Certificate issued by Competent Authority, registered lease deed of the hotel building and playground, fire safety certificate, sanitary certificate and structural soundness certificate were in force for the period for which they have requested for grant permission to run the hostel.
The last date for uploading applications along with necessary enclosures is April 15, with a late fee of Rs 10,000, it is up to April 18 and with a late fee of Rs 20,000, applications could be submitted up to April 20, it said.
