Mahender Reddy promises all help to transport operators

Hyderabad : Transport Minister P. Mahender Reddy has promised to protect the government properties allotted to Truck Operators Highway Amenities Society (TOHES).
 
While addressing a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday, the minister directed Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, Joint Transport Commissioners Pandu Ranga Naik, Ranga Reddy and Ramesh and other officials, to take measures to protect 9.37 acres of land on Survey No. 244 in Peda Amberpet. He was responding to a complaint lodged by State Lorry Owners Association president Bhaskar Reddy and General Secretary Durga Das stating that the land has been encroached upon by Society Secretary General Mohammed Khan using forged documents.
 
The minister, in today's review meeting, enquired about the incident and directed that immediate action be taken against those who encroached upon the land. He asked the officials to check the status of lands allocated to the Society. He said lands were allotted in Pet Basheerabad, Timmapur (Karimnagar), Hanamkonda (Warangal), Kamareddy and Balanagar of Mahabnagar.
