SCCL targets 680L tonnes coal production
Kothagudem: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is planning to produce 680 lakh tonnes of cole in the present financial year, stated N Sridhar, the company Chairman and Managing Director.Last year target was 620 lakh tonnes, he added. He held a meeting with all directors and general managers of all areas at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Thursday. He congratulated all the officials for achieving record production last year.
Besides giving guidelines to achieve the targets in 2018-19 financial year, he also discussed area-wise targets in the two-day meeting. Discussions were held on the required funds, machinery and other assistance needed for improving the production.
Suggestions and ways to overcome problems in achieving the targets, right from micro to macro level for improving production in the mines were made during the meeting. CMD N Sridhar warned all the officials that negligence towards their duty will not be tolerated in achieving the target set for this year. The plan for achieving the target will start from April and the working hours of heavy machineries at opencast mines should be increased by at least 17 to 18 hours.
He ordered the general managers and staff of the departments concerned to take immediate action if any problem arises and ensure machinery at mines for meeting production targets, enough sand for sand stowing, spare part for a maintenance etc.
Sridhar ordered to issue medical cards to workers with immediate effect so as to facilitate medical treatment for workers, their family members and parents.Directors B Bhaskar Rao, Chandra Sekhar Rao, Shankar, Surendra Pandey and general managers of all areas have participated in
