On March 29, the family travelled from Prakasham to Hyderabad to get the girl treated as she is suffering from for Retinopathy of prematurity or ROP which requires surgery to save her sight.
Upon learning that their ration card and Aarogyasri scheme won’t be applicable, their child’s treatment got delayed.
After visiting the LV Prasad Eye Institute, they were suggested three procedures ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 1 lakh.
Now, with KTR’s intervention, the management has sought for Rs 40,000. The family are ready to pay the amount and the surgery is scheduled for tomorrow.
