The TRS plenary is all set to take place in Kompally on April 27 with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao likely to set the tone for the ensuing general elections.

Sources reveal that a few party leaders are pitching for IT Minister KT Rama Rao to have a much more important role and even hint towards the possibility of him being projected as the next CM candidate at the plenary.

As for now, the arrangements are being made for the plenary which will be attended by 15,000 delegates including mandal presidents, ministers, MPs and legislators.

TRS general secretary Palla Rajeshwar Reddy on Sunday met KCR at Pragati Bhavan and told the reporters that the Chief Minister aims to play a bigger role at the Centre.

He further stated that KCR has asked party leaders to organise a massive public meeting to showcase the strength of TRS in order to use the platform to invite national-level political leaders from various parties pitching the federal front idea and make it a grand success.

Palla Rajeshwar Reddy said that the public meeting will be organised in October or November where KCR will announce the role TRS will play in national politics.
