Man tied to tree, stoned to death in Nizamabad for allegedly raping seven-year-old girl

A 43-year-old labourer was stoned to death in full public view in Nizamabad district for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl.

The incident came to light on Sunday after the police launched a search operation to nab the guilty. 

The accused, Medarai Sayanna had entered the girl’s house when she was alone on Sunday evening where he allegedly raped her and fled. 

According to the reports, the victim had narrated the incident to her mother, who along with her family and the villagers caught hold of him. They tied the accused to a tree in the Donkeswar village centre and hurled stones at him till he collapsed in a pool of blood.

The assault severely injured Sayanna, who was taken to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to death.

The police informed that no one from the village informed regarding the alleged assault on the minor until late in the evening. With no complaint from the side of the deceased against anyone, the police couldn’t make any arrests so far. 

However, two cases were registered under relevant sections of the IPC in connection with the sexual assault on the minor girl and the killing of the man.
