Thunderstorms likely in next two days

Hyderabad: Thunderstorms with gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of Telangana on April 9 and 10, the Met department bulletin warned on Sunday. 

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places in all districts from April 9 to 13. No large change during the period April 13-15 is the weather outlook. 

Meanwhile, rains lashed several places across the State on Saturday and Sunday, with Utnur in Adilabad and Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy recording 6 cm of rainfall each. Thunderstorms with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in all Telangana districts during the day.

The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Palakurthi 5, Domakonda, Ramannapet, Julapalle and Chevella 4 each, Ramayampet, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Huzurabad, Bhuvanagiri, Sangareddy, Sathupalle, Yellandu and Kondurg 3 each.There was 2 cm rain each in Hakimpet IAF station, Luxettipet, Doma, Machareddy,Gundala, Pargi, Shamirpet, Tadwai,Yacharam, Hasanparthy, Aswaraopet, Kalwakurthy, Mallial, Kothagudem, Tandur, Peddemul and Mominpet.
