Indian students told to pursue studies in US varsities

​Hyderabad: The Director for Admission at Governors State University (GSU), Paul MC Guinness, on Monday said that the US was ready to welcome students who want to pursue higher education in the universities in America.

The University director said that America was open for business and wants the students to come over for studies. Informing that he had met the US Embassy in Chennai, Mumbai and in Hyderabad and asked them to be lenient while issuing visas to students, he said the Governors State University has specially-designed courses, which were much more marketable. “We want Indian students to come and study in America,” said Paul Guinness. 

He informed that GSU was founded in 1969, which is a four-year public university in the State of Illinois, and serves over 5,500 students. He further added that GSU offers 64 degree and 24 certificate programmes and the students earn the qualification needed to succeed in business, industry, healthcare, etc. Set across 750 acres, GSU is located at 40 miles south of Chicago and was offering most affordable university undergraduate tuition rate in the State of Illinois. 

Indo Global Studies (IGS) director Kaushik Babu said that the University team visited the US Embassy in the country and sought the reasons for the denial of visas for the students. He said that IGS was not like a consultancy service, but has a tie up with the universities. He further said that the IGS provides free hostel services to the students studying in US varsities.
