CM KCR meets former PM Deve Gowda
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao had a meeting with former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda in Bengaluru on Friday.
The Chief Minister left for Bengaluru in a special aircraft from Begumpet Airport here and later met Deve Gowda at his residence. The CM was accorded a warm welcome by Deve Gowda and his son and former CM H D Kumara Swamy. They have felicitated KCR with a shawl. Deve Gowda had not only extended support for the separate Telangana statehood movement but also participated in the public meeting held then in Warangal. KCR thanked Gowda for extending his support to the Statehood movement.
Deve Gowda also congratulated KCR over the phone when the CM made an announcement regarding the Crop Investment support scheme. Gowda said he would personally come to Hyderabad and the CM told him he would visit Bengaluru personally to seek his blessings. Accordingly, KCR flew down to Bengaluru to thank Deve Gowda and sought his blessings. The three leaders have extensively discussed the national politics.
KCR also explained the efforts being made by him to bring in qualitative changes in the national political scene. Deve Gowda congratulated KCR for his efforts and extended his solidarity with him. After the meeting the leaders had lunch at Deva Gowda’s house later they interacted with the media.
Along with KCR, MPs Vinod Kumar, J Santosh Kumar, Legislators Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MDC Chairman Subhash Reddy, well-known film actor Prakash Raj and others accompanied.
