Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority’s planning wing director Purushottam Reddy’s bail plea was rejected by the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday.

He was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau on graft charges.

His bail petition focused on the point that he had already been in detention in jail for nearly 2 months along with the completion of custodial interrogation by police.

However, opposing the bail plea, ACB Counsel stated Reddy’s disappearance after registration of the case against him and the huge number of assets surfacing during ACB probe.

Also, the ACB counsel said that the investigation is still in progress and his bail might harm the progress of the probe. Agreeing to it, the HC judge Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy dismissed Reddy’s bail plea.
