University of Florida, PJTSAU to join hands for online courses
Hyderabad : University of Florida, USA has shown interest in working together with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) to start online certificate courses, joint degree programmes, online certificate courses in Agriculture and GIS, Agro ecology, organic farming etc.,
K.Ramesh Reddy, Graduate Research Professor, Soil and Water Sciences Department of University of Florida today visited the PJTSAU and met with Vice-chancellor Dr. V. Praveen Rao, Registrar Dr. S. Sudheer Kumar and other university officers in the meeting organized at committee hall, administrative office, Rajendranagar. K.Ramesh Reddy was keenly interested to sign memorandum of understanding with PJTSAU to extend support in starting of several online and offline certificate courses in agriculture. He also said that the University of Florida has already started several certificate courses in Agro ecology, GIS, Agricultural communication management in the mode of e-courses.
Dr.V. Praveen Rao has suggested K.Ramesh Reddy to offer training on Internationally accepted protocols in organic farming for selected faculty of PJTSAU by University of Florida and also shown interest to start joint degree programmes in agriculture. They were also discussed on student, faculty exchange, between both the universities, and initiate the joint research programmes, etc.
Earlier, Deans and Directors of various wings of PJTSAU had explained about Teaching, Research and Extension activities.
