Hours after release of Inter results, at least 4 students commit suicide

At least four cases of suicides have been reported across Hyderabad on Friday following the release of the Intermediate exam results.

According to the reports, a first-year student of MNR Junior college ended his life in Moosapet near Kukatpally by hanging himself from the ceiling after failing his exam. While he was rushed to the hospital, he was declared brought dead.

Another incident took place at Subhadranagar where a 17-year-old girl studying in Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Dilsukhnagar committed suicide despite scoring 325 out of 440 marks, as she failed to score her expected marks. The girl reportedly took the extreme step when her parents were away from home.

In a third incident, another 17-year-old girl studying in Sri Gayathri Junior College jumped from the third floor of her apartment in Ushodaya Nagar. Another first-year student hanged herself to death from her ceiling fan at her residence in Medipally, after failing to pass some subjects.

18-year-old Neerav Marshu, a second-year Intermediate student of St. Francis Xavier Junior College jumped from the fifth floor of his building in Kacheguda fearing that he would fail his exams. However, he had passed his examinations when the results were declared.
