Welfare schemes top priority of TRS plenary
Hyderabad: Welfare programmes of the TRS government will get importance in the plenary of the party scheduled in Hyderabad on April 27. Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao, who is chairman of the resolutions committee of the plenary, said that the committee had begun its work.
Speaking to media-persons, Keshava Rao said that Telangana stood top in the country in implementing welfare programmes and naturally welfare would get priority at the plenary. The party would discuss development in agriculture, education, health and industrial sectors, he said.
Keshav Rao said that the party would discuss the need for a qualitative change in the people as per the call given by KCR. There would be discussion on the relations between State and the Centre.
The meeting would also have discussion on making the thandas as gram panchayats and there would be political resolutions. The resolutions would be ready within two days, he said adding that the committee members who missed the meeting on Friday would attend the next meeting.
Government Whip P Rajeshwar Reddy said that qualitative change in the lives of the people was visible in Telangana. The plenary would focus on development of the country based on the qualitative changes the people of Telangana had undergone.
The plenary would show the way forward to the nation, he said adding that the plenary would attract all sections. Committee members Naradasu Lakshman was also present in the meeting. Other members B Vinod Kumar, P Krishnamurthy, S Niranjan Reddy did not attend the meeting.
