Hyderabad: BJP State president Dr K Laxman accused Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers, K Chandrasekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu, of instigating Telugu people in Karnataka against the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Addressing the media persons here on Monday, he said, while other parties have been spewing venom in their election campaign against the saffron party, the Chief Ministers from the Telugu States were hand-in-glove with each other to create discontent among Telugu people in Karnataka towards BJP. “But, they will not succeed in their efforts however hard they may try,” he added.

He said that the party has decided to organise tours in Telangana in two phases from June, covering 50 places. This was planned as the elections to the Karnataka State Assembly would be completed in May, he said. As part of the state-wide tour, 25 places will be covered in each phase.

“The main agenda of the tours is to expose the misrule of TRS government in the State. Besides tours, public meeting Rythu Poru Sabha will also be organised in a big way,” Laxman said. The BJP MLA said the party had also decided to publicise Gram Swaraj Yojana scheme launched by the Centre. For this, leaders from the booth to district-level were urged to take part to make it a grand success.

This will be launched from April 20, followed by the meetings of the mandal presidents of the party on April 23 and 24, at Nizamabad. Laxman also informed that his party was fully prepared to contest Panchayat Raj polls.
