TSRTC-Warangal region to launch Kakatiya Darshini soon
Warangal: In the wake of summer holidays, the TSRTC Warangal region has come up with ‘Kakatiya Darshini’ tour package, enabling the public to visit historic, religious and tourist locations in erstwhile Warangal district.
It is the first ever tour package being offered by the RTC region for its commuters. The Vajra mini A/C bus with a capacity of 18 seats, having LED TV facility, will be employed in the tour. The tour will be launched in the last week of April.
District Collector Amrapali Kata, RTC Regional Manager T Surya Kiran, Joint Collector S Dayanand and others have released a pamphlet of the tour at a programme at the district collectorate here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Regional Manager informed that the one-day tour will be operated on every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, besides on request from the public. The tour service starts at 7 am at Hanamkonda bus stand and returns at 9 pm.
The places covered under tour are Ramappa Temple, Laknavaram, Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Temple and Mangapet-Mallur Narasimha Swamy Temple with a free guide facility. There is a provision to change the visiting places, based on the choice of the tourists.
Visit to Tadvai forests in Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary and cycling can be arranged, based on the requirement of the group. Lunch and all entry fees have to be borne by the passengers during the tour, Surya Kiran added.
The fare fixed is very economic. Rs 510 per head in case of adults and Rs 380 for children, he informed adding, interested persons can book tickets in advance by visiting RTC website-tsrtconline.in, RTC reservation counters, Warangal-II depot or through authorised travel agents.
District Collector Amrapali, who appreciated the RTC authorities for launching the tour package, appealed the public to make use of the opportunity. RDO Venkat Reddy, DRO S David and Warangal- II depot manager Bhanu Kiran were present.
