KCR announces two percent quota for sportspersons in Telangana
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday felicitated the 18 Indian athletes who participated in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games at the Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad.
He further announced a two percent reservation in government jobs for sportspersons in Telangana.
The athletes including members from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra and Karnataka - Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu, Srikanth Kidambi, Rankireddy Satwik Sairaj, N Sikkireddy, HSK Prannoy, Pranav Chopra, Chirag Shetty, Ashwini Ponnappa and G Ruthvika Shivani (all badminton players), Hasamuddin Mohammed (boxing), Aruna Budda Reddy and Meghana Gundlapally (gymnastics), Kynan Darius Cheni and Gagan Narang (shooting), Sharath Kamal Achanta (table tennis) and Ragala Venkat Rahul (Weightlifting).

KCR complimented each for their achievements in the Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia and bringing laurels to the country.
