BJP takes wind out of CPM’s sails

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP State president Dr K Laxman and MLA G Kishan Reddy dismissed the criticism of the CPI (M) party against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP. Addressing the media here on Monday, Kishan Reddy said the 22nd congress of CPI (M) had come up with nothing except that the meeting was started abusing Narendra Modi and ended accusing BJP.

Accusing CPI (M) of party to scam-tainted United Progressive Alliance (UPA) by extending its support all through to that party, Kishan called that the Left party’s ‘understanding' with the Congress party was nothing but ideological and political bankruptcy.

While communists in China and Russia were updating themselves to the changing realities, the Indian communists continue to live in their outdated ideological hibernation. “They don’t even learn from how Marx and Lenin had modified their ideas taking into consideration the changing realities of the world,” he said. The CPI (M) had forged one or the other kind of alliance with every political party in the country except BJP.

Alleging that the CPI (M) fight was more to secure their properties rather than delivering any good to the people, Kishan accused the CPI (M) of organising camps on the basis of religion, regions, caste to survive, which makes them more apt to be called Kauravas.

It was laughable on the part of CPI (M) which does not have a single Dalit in its politburo talking about the cause of Dalits, he said. Taking a dig at the CPI (M) leadership, Laxman termed it a party which forges an alliance with Congress in the day but call it as a tactical political line of the party in the evening. The CPI (M) had extended unstinted support to the scam-ridden Congress.

Yet, it has the audacity to come before the people accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre which has been giving corruption-free governance to people. He asked the CPI (M) to do some introspection on why they had lost power in West Bengal and Tripura instead relentlessly making baseless allegations on BJP and the PM.

Terming the CPI (M) observations on the party, Laxman said, “The way how an oppressive regime of the communists has been governing in Kerala is known to the whole nation.” He said that the CPI (M) was not able to digest the popularity people extending it to Modi and BJP.
