CPM jubilant over public meet

Hyderabad: The CPI (M) State Committee which is scheduled to meet on April 28 and Committee will finalise an action plan on April 29 to organise meetings, conferences and other activities to create awareness about Bahujan Left Front (BLF) from May to June, this year.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday, party politburo member B V Raghavulu and State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said the response from the people to the public meeting held on the concluding day of the 22nd National Congress in the city was beyond expectations.

And, taking forward this spirit and the momentum created by the 22nd Congress of the party, Tammineni Veerabhadram said, the party has decided to take up mass campaign among people about the BLF and its alternative political agenda for the State and its development. As part of this, a three-month-long campaign will be taken up from May to June, this year, he said.

During the programme steps will be taken to build up the party structure for the new political front from the booth level. Also, to scrutinise the applications received from people to contest on behalf of the BLF in various assembly and parliament segments. This will help in identifying potential candidates to be fielded in the general elections in 2019 and to gear the entire party machinery on expected lines to garner people’s support.

Both the leaders said the reaction of BJP leaders to the 22nd national conference and public meeting reflects its fears that CPI(M) is its potential adversary which would taken on its communal agenda head on.

The CPI(M) leaders also thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, State administration, police, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), water board and other government wings for their support for the successfully conducting its party national congress. He said the response from the people, who extended their support to the Congress gives the confidence that the red flag is sure to regain its past glory in the State.
