Private schools fare well in SSC exams
Hyderabad: Private schools secured top ranks in the SSC results, which the Telangana Board of Secondary Education had declared on Friday. The overall pass percentage this year is 83.78 per cent.
Girls have outshined boys with a pass percentage of 85 while that of boys is only 82. Jagtial district has topped in terms of pass percentage while Adilabad district has the least pass percentage.
While 1,225 private schools have achieved 100 per cent pass percentage, only 865 government schools got the same, according to the State Directorate of Government Examinations (SDGE).
While 686 Zilla Parishad Schools got 100 per cent pass percentage among the government-run schools, 76 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV) secured the same. Minority welfare schools got third position with 35 schools.
Similarly, 30 model schools, 20 Ashram Schools and 18 Social Welfare Schools achieved 100 % pass percentage. As many as 11 private schools, three Zilla Parishad, three aided, two Ashram schools, one each of the government and tribal welfare schools registered zero pass percentage.
