15 tribal students score 10 GPA
Hyderabad: Telangana Social and Tribal Welfare Residential students excelled in SSC examination, for which results were announced on Friday. TSWREIS secured 90 per cent of average pass percentage against the state average of 83.78 per cent.
As many as 24 Telangana Social and Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) schools recorded cent percent results. The average pass percentage of TSWREIS schools increased by one per cent from 89.10 in 2017 to 90.05 in 2018. As many as 15 students secured 10 GPA. Three Tribal Welfare Residential schools secured cent percent results.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar expressed happiness over the results and attributed the success to hard work and commitment of students and teaching staff. He said meticulous planning of academic programmes immensely helped students to excel in the examination.
The Secretary thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Ministers G Jagadish Reddy and A Chandulal for their support to educational and career progress of poor students under the KG-to-PG Mission.
