Minister Jagadish Reddy insulted soldiers: Sravan

Hyderabad : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Spokesperson Dr. Dasoju Sravan has accused Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy of insulting all soldiers of Army, Navy and Air Force by stating that they draw salaries for doing nothing.

Addressing a press conference along with TPCC General Secretary Mahesh Kumar Goud at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Sravan strongly condemned the statement of Jagadish Reddy wherein he targeted TPCC President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and alleged that he did nothing except taking salaries. He said Uttam Kumar Reddy had served as fighter pilot of Indian Air Force and risked his life serving the nation at C‌hina and Pakistan border for several years.

However, while targeting the TPCC chief, Jagadish Reddy has crossed all limits by criticising all soldiers suspecting their commitment and sacrifices towards the nation. Irrespective of their ranks, all members of armed forces, put their lives at stake in every moment of peace and war to save the nation from enemies. However, people like Jagadish Reddy does not see anything beyond politics and do not hesitate from suspecting the patriotism of soldiers.

Sravan said Jagadish Reddy should check his background and stature before commenting anything on Uttam Kumar Reddy. He said Jagadish Reddy's nexus with slained gangster Nayeem was an established fact. However, KCR saved Jagadish Reddy by hushing up the case. He said Jagadish Reddy has played the role of a broker in the sale of land for Suryapet Collectorate. Similarly, he said the CAG itself has pointed out a scam of over Rs. 5,000 crore in purchase of power at higher cost from private companies. He said Jagadish Reddy was involved in several scams and has been escaping the law due to the blessings of the Chief Minister.

The Congress leader also alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his associates were suffering from Schizophrenia (a serious mental disorder) which made them believe that have fulfilled all the electoral promises they made with people in 2014 elections.

Sravan said that false claims being made by KCR and his team were due to the impact of Schizophrenia. They have been cheating the people with a bunch of lies on the fulfilment of promises. Referring to the Chief Minister's speech during TRS plenary wherein he claimed that TRS Govt has fulfilled 100% promises, he said KCR's mental status perfectly matches the definition of Schizophrenia which is described as 'a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behaviour, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation.' Unfortunately, he said KCR's mental disease is not curable.

He said if KCR was not suffering from Schizophrenia, then he would not challenged Congress leaders on construction of double bed room houses. He said TRS Government has failed to fulfil a single major promises made in its manifesto. He asked the Chief Minister whether all eligible poor families have been given double bed room houses. "How many Dalit families got three acres of land and whether 12% reservation for Muslims and STs has been implemented? TRS Govt should also answer whether KG to PG free education is being implemented in Telangana State," he said.

The Congress leaders said that the TRS Government neither filled over one lakh vacancies nor regularised the services of contract and outsourcing staff. Revival of Nizam Sugar Factor or Sirpur Paper Pills, a steel factory at Bayyaram, Tribal and Women University and other promises have remained on paper, he said.

Sravan said that the Chief Minister has given an impression that he has resolved all the problems being faced by people of Telangana and now concentrating on national issues. KCR must learn that democracy is all about discussion and dialogue but there is no room for "filmy style challenges, Sravan said.
