TS Govt to take up Musi Express Way
Hyderabad : Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that the Telangana Government is planning to take up Musi Express Way on priority basis.
Speaking after inaugurating the Chintalkunta underpass at L.B. Nagar on Tuesday, the minister said that the proposed express way would be constructed along the Musi River after getting environmental clearance. He informed that the works on signal free junctions was going on at a fast pace and out of 52, 18 signals have been completed far. He said works worth Rs. 3,000 crore are being taken up in the GHMC limits under SRDP Project. Of this, Rs. 450 crores are being spent in L.B. Nagar. Hyderabad Metro Rail works will be completed in the next two months and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will be inaugurating the HMR Project in L.B.Nagar in the next two months.
Earlier, KTR the inaugurated 540 Meter Chintalkunta Underpass at L.B. Nagar which was constructed under SRDP plan at a cost of Rs. 18.70 crores. This is the third facility under SRDP Project.
The Minister also informed that GHMC was having 185 lakes out of which in the first phase 40lakes i.e., 20 under GHMC and 20 under HMDA will be taken up for beautification with a cost of Rs. 541 crores.
Later, the Minister and GHMC Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan, along with senior officials of the GHMC, had a detailed discussion and reviewed the arrangements for foundation ceremony of Uppal flyover which is scheduled to be held on 5th May.
GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan, MP Ch. Malla Reddy, MLAs R. Krishnaiah and Teegala Krishna Reddy, MLC Shambipur Raju, concerned Corporator Bharathi Holikeri, Incharge Commissioner and senior officials of various Govt., Departments have participated in the programme.
