Over 1 lakh students from Telangana, AP to take NEET today

Hyderabad: About one lakh students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have registered to appear in the NEET (UG)-2018 examination scheduled to be held on Sunday. According to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), 50,856 candidates have registered to give their examination at 81 centres in Telangana and 49,210 candidates from Andhra Pradesh will be appearing for the examination at 86 centres.

A total of 13, 26,725 candidates have registered to appear for the NEET (UG)-2018. Of the total number of candidates, 5, 80,648 are male and 7, 46,076 are female candidates. That apart, Transgender-1, NRIs-1,842, Foreigners 621, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) 6 and OCI 530 have registered to appear for the examination. 

The total number of Indians registered are 13, 23,672. The CBSE said all necessary arrangements had been made for the smooth conduct of the examination which will be held at 2,255 examination centres in 136 cities across the country.
