British Minister Mark Field meets Minister KTR

Hyderabad : British Minister of State for Asia and Pacific Mark Field met Minister K. Tarakarama Rao in Hyderabad today.
 
He was accompanied by Dominic Asquith, British High Commissioner to India and Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner to Telangana and AP.
 
During the meeting, Minister explained about how Telangana is fast emerging as the preferred destination for investments in the country. Minister gave an overview of investment opportunities for British companies in IT, Textiles, Biotech, Aerospace and Food Processing sectors and also about the various industrial parks coming up in the state. Minister said that the state government is creating state-of-the-art industrial parks such as Hyderabad Pharma City, Medical Devices Park, and Kakatiya Mega Textile Park.
 
Minister KTR proposed to the British Minister that Telangana is keen to expand the T-Bridge initiative (which connects startups being incubated at T-Hub to the US markets) to UK too.
 
Earlier in the day, Mark Field visited T-Hub facility and interacted with the startups being incubated there.  The British Minister appreciated the support extended by Telangana government to boost innovation ecosystem in the state.
