Update: 2018-05-09 09:26 IST

Hyderabad: One of the accused in cash-for-vote scam Jerusalem Mathaiah on Tuesday demanded probe into the scam with central investigating agencies like CBI.

Speaking to media at a press meet, he said an enquiry through central investigation agencies will only help hasten the investigation in a transparent manner and bring the accused to book.

If Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is found guilty of bribing an MLA, then he should be prosecuted and punished, Mathaiah said and added that at the same time Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and other intelligence officers should also be prosecuted for illegally tapping a telephone conversation.

Following which both the Chief Ministers should be impeached from their positions as they failed to maintain the sanctity of the position, he added.
