Thunderstorms likely in Telangana for two days

Hyderabad: The Met department on Thursday said that Telangana will receive thunderstorms along with gusty winds at isolated places in all the districts on May 11 and May 12. 

Rain occurred at isolated places, with Palwancha in Khammam district recording 7 cm of rainfall. According to the bulletin, the chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) were: Wanaparthy ( Mahbubnagar) 4, Kondurg (Mahbubnagar) 3, Devarakonda (Nalgonda) 2, Ghanpur, Kothagudem, Sangareddy, Chevella, Pinapaka, Chinna Chintakunta and Enkuru 1 each.

The highest day temperature 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad, Nizamabad  and Ramagundam .  The other temperatures registered in the State were: Mahbubnagar, Medak & Nalgonda 41 each, Bhadrachalam & Khammam 40 each, Hakimpet, Hanamkonda & Hyderabad 39 each.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in the State from May 11 to 14. No large change during the period May 15-17 is the weather outlook.
