Tricolour, an epitome of integrity and unity: Pawan Kalyan
Hyderabad: Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan appreciated students and younger generations for coming forward to highlight the unity and integrity of the national flag.
Pawan Kalyan was addressing a public meeting organised at NTR stadium by ‘Vibrants of Kalam,’ an NGO, to commemorate the First War of Indian Independence here on Thursday. The JSP chief said that the saffron, white and green colours in the tricolour with the ‘Ashoka Chakra’ represents unity and integrity of the country.
However, “Though leaders have for so long forgotten the meaning of the national flag, it was heartening to see youth and students coming together to take a pledge by hosting the worlds’ largest tricolour”, he said.
Remembering the words of former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, about the tricolour, he said, “The flag does not belong to any community, party or a religion. It belongs to all.”
Further, the colour saffron in the flag does not belong to Hindu religion. But, it reminds of the leaders who had relinquished everything for the sake of the country and to serve the people.
After administering the unity pledge to the tens and thousands of people who attended the event, Pawan Kalyan unfurled the 22,326 sq ft largest tricolour in the world. Vibrants of Kalam, founder Vijay Kalam, and others participated in the event.
