Water for 2 lakh acre by next summer: KTR

Rajanna Sircilla: Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao said that while the TDP and the Congress Government had done nothing for the farmers of Telangana, the TRS government was giving them cheques for Rs 4000 each. 

Addressing a meeting at Gambhiraopet on Friday, where he distributed cheques to the farmers, he said the Rythu Bandhu scheme introduced by KCR was a unique initiative aimed at helping the farm sector.

 He said Rs 100 crore would be spent on the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He said that a farmer insurance scheme is being introduced in telangana from Telangana formation day. He said by next summer, water would be supplied to 2 lakh acres in the state.
