GHMC collects Rs. 437 Cr Property Tax in EBC scheme

Hyderabad : The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has collected Rs. 437.75 Crore towards Property Tax in Early Bird Collections scheme for the financial year 2018-19. The collection in 2017-18 was Rs. 362.54 Crores.
 
According to GHMC, 58% of the transactions and 57% of the total collection amount has been received through modes Online and Citizen Service Centres. The amount collected in FY 2018-19 Early Bird through online mode is Rs. 128.95 Crores against Rs. 107.93 Crores for FY 2017-18 which shows an increase of 20%.
 
The above data clearly states the citizen usage of online payment options has been continually increasing which is possible due to the strong IT applications and database maintained by GHMC.
