TSRTC Bus collides with lorry in Jagtial; One killed, eight injured

A passenger was killed when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus collided with a lorry early on Saturday at Metpalli Mandal in Jagtial district.

According to the reports, the bus was heading towards Nizamabad from Karimnagar with 16 passengers when the mishap took place.

The deceased was identified as Odelu, a lorry driver.

Eight others sustained injuries, four of them seriously and were rushed to the Government Hospital in Metpalli.

The four passengers who suffered grave injuries were later shifted to Government Hospital in Nizamabad.

Police are yet ascertain the reason behind the accident and are investigating.
