An attempt to spread awareness on education by The Bhumi Volunteers

The Bhumi volunteers led by City Coordinator, Ms.Yuva Kanagasabapathy, have been working on three main projects Little Einstens Mathematics (LEM), Little Einstens Science (LES) and Kanini (Computers) respectively. In order to motivate the Youth towards volunteering the Bhumians have been continuously catalyzing various events from field trips to DAAN UTSAV from past one year, working towards education.

This Year they kick started their events with two major events happening today “Sketch Your Dreams” and “Health and Hygiene Workshop”.

The event “Sketch Your Dreams” initiated by Ms.Lavanya and the team which started around 8.00AM had seen talents of young children coming forward.Every child has an artist in him/her the main thing is how to bring forward their talents. The event took place near Begumpet Public School Bus Stop.

The Hyderabad Police Team, Begumpet officials also came forward to support the event and appreciated the youth working for the social cause.

In the late afternoon that is around 3.30PM another event HEALTH AND HYGIENE WORKSHOP also took place by the volunteers of BHUMI .The workshop taken care by MS. Yamuna and the team made an exemplary contribution by spreading awareness on health,cleanliness.They also demonstrated about the segregation of wet waste and dry waste and have distributed the Dust Bins accordingly.

These events were an initiative to understand the way of living of people dwelling in slum areas, identifying their root problems and working towards serving them better and slowly work on spreading awareness on education.

Overall it was great team effort led by Ashwini, Manikandan, Lavanya, Yamuna,Swapna K and the entire team.

BHUMI requests more and more youth to come forward and volunteer for such events. The team also requests the youth in helping them in spreading awareness on education.
