Heatwave continues in parts of Adilabad district

Hyderabad: Heat-wave conditions continued in some parts of Adilabad district for the fourth day on Wednesday, highest day temperature of 45 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad.

The other day temperatures in the State were: Ramagundam 43, Medak 42, Bhadrachalam, Nalgonda, Nizamabad & Khammam 41 each, Mahbubnagar & Hyderabad 40 each, Hakimpet & Hanamkonda 39 each.

There were thunderstorms with gusty winds at isolated places in Adilabad, Komarambheem, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Jagitial, Peddapalle, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Mahbubabad and Jogulambha-Gadwal districts. 

The Met department bulletin said rain occurred at isolated places across the State, with Dharmapuri and jagtial in Karimnagar district recording 5 cm of rainfall each. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in Telangana were: Asifabad, Sirpur (both in Adilabad) 4 each, Machareddy (Nizamabad), Kodangal (Mahbubnagar) 3 each, Sircilla, Mallial (both in Karimnagar), Utnur (Adilabad) 2 each. 

There was 1 cm rain each in Gangadhara and Pegadapalle (both Karimnagar) and Makloor (Nizamabad). According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places from May 24 to 27. No large change during May 28-30 is the weather outlook.
