Komatireddy blushes as KCR addresses him as MLA
Hyderabad: In an interesting development, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Wednesday addressed Komatireddy Venkat Reddy as MLA, whose expulsion from the Assembly has been restored by the court.
The MLA received a letter from the Chief Minister with greetings on the occasion of his birthday on Wednesday. Much to the surprise of Komatireddy, the Chief Minister addressed him as MLA of Nalgonda.
In the letter, the Chief Minister said, “My heartfelt greetings on your birthday. I wish you serve people and lead a healthy and prosperous life.” It may be recalled that the Assembly had expelled Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and his colleague Congress MLA SA Sampath Kumar from the House. The MLAs filed a case in the court, where the court ruled in their favor.
The decision of the court has been challenged and the direction is awaited. The MLAs and the Congress has been urging the government to restore all the facilities to them as per court directions.
Reacting to the letter by Chief Minister, the MLA questioned why his protocol was not restored when the Chief Minister himself recognised him as an MLA? Komatireddy wanted to know from the CM why security and other facilities were not restored.
