At the programme, the residents of the area raised several civic issues such as shortage of drinking water, drainage overflows, rehabilitation of vendors, a supply of fresh water, and maintenance of green cover.

Pointing out the difference in water requirement in rural and urban areas being 100 litres per person and 150 litres respectively, KTR added that the state government plans to purchase 500 electric buses to reduce pollution in the city.

The Minister appealed to the citizens to be more responsible towards civic issues, referring to the recent removal of blankets and sleeping mats from a stormwater drain by the sanitation staff in Ameerpet. He further urged the public to use separate bins for solid and liquid waste.
