Deputy CM reviews arrangements for Ramzan festival
Hyderabad : Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mohd Mahmood Ali on Monday directed the officials concerned to make all the necessary arrangements for the Ramzan festival to be celebrated in June.
The Deputy CM held a review meeting in his chambers at the Secretariat which was attended by Advisor to Government (Minorities Welfare) A. K. Khan, Wakf Board Chairman Mohd Saleem and senior officials. The Deputy CM said that 500 Gift-Packs will be distributed at each of the 800 Masjids in the state from May 31st which include 400 Masjids in the Hyderabad City and another 400 in the districts. In addition to this, an amount of Rs.100,000 has been sanctioned for each Masjid for Iftar.
Mahmood Ali also directed the officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements for Iftar to be held at Fateh Maidan (L.B. Stadium) on 8th June.
GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy, Secretary to Minorities Welfare Dana Kishore, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, Protocol Director Arvinder Singh and other officials were also present at the meeting.
