Sales girl hacked to death in broad daylight
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old girl was hacked to death with a blade in a broad daylight by unknown offenders at Jawahar Nagar under the limits of Jubilee Hills police station on Monday.
The victim, Nagalaxmi, a resident of Yousufguda and a native of West Godavari in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, was working as a sales girl in Jodi Fashion Jewellery shop.
According to sources, on Monday, the victim was alone in the shop as the owner went to Khammam for some personal work. The assailants might have learnt that she was alone and at around 3:45 pm, four persons entered the shop and brutally attacked the victim. She suffered critical injuries on head and neck and died due to severe blood loss.
Police said that the victim has been complaining to her parents and friends that someone was harassing her for several days in the name of love. Meanwhile, no theft of valuables was reported raising doubts that the assailants could be known to the victim.
Speaking to The Hans India K Srinivasa Rao, ACP, Banjara Hills said, “We are investing the case in all angles, including the suspected love angle. Our teams are on job to collect clues.” The police registered a case under Section 302 of IPC and further investigation is on into the case.
