Telangana Labour Department Principal Secretary Goel’s son shot dead in Turkey

​Hyderabad: Telangana Labour Department Principal Secretary Shashank Goel’s son Shubham Goel was reportedly killed by a group of armed robbers in Turkey. The 24-year-old victim along with his friend was on a holiday trip in Istanbul when the incident happened.  

Shubham was working as a software engineer in America. He came to India to attend a wedding ceremony in April last week. Before leaving for the US, he went to Turkey on a short holiday trip along with his friend Subhanshu.   

Reports say that Shubham and his friend were confronted by a group of armed robbers who demanded they hand over cash and other valuables they were carrying. Subhanshu gave all his belongings to the robbers. When Shubham refused to do so, the robbers attacked him and shot him dead.  On receipt of news, the IAS official, Goel, immediately rushed to New Delhi.
