Four share top spot

Hyderabad: After Class 12, Girls continued their dominance over boys in the Class 10 results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared on Tuesday and Tiruvanantapuram region has once again stood top in the Class 10 results. Girls did better than boys scoring 88.67 per cent against the boys pass percentage of 85.32, as well as the against the overall pass percentage of all categories, stood at 86.70 per cent.

Prakhar Mittal of Delhi Public School, Gurgram has stood as topper scoring 499 out of 500. Rimzhim Agarwal from R P Public School, Bijnor, Nandini Garg of Scottish International School, Shamli and Sreelakshmi Gopinath of Bhavan’s Vidyala, Cochin too scored 499 out of 500, sharing the first rank.

In region-wise pass percentage, Thiruvananthapuram stood first with 99.60 per cent pass percentage, followed by Chennai with 97.37 per cent in the second and Ajmer with 91.86 per cent with the third position.
 
As against the above, the pass percentage of the students from the foreign school stood at 98.32 per cent. Also, the overall pass percentage of differently abled students is also higher than the overall pass percentage which stood at 92.55 per cent.

Anushka Panda of Suncity School from Gurgram scored and Sanya Gandhi from Uttam School, Ghaziabad have scored 489 out of 500 and stood as toppers in top three positions in the differently abled category. Somya Deep Pradhan of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dhanpur, Odisha scored 484 out of 500 stood in third positions in the same category.

As many as 1, 31,493 students have scored 90 per cent and about 27,476 students have scored 95 per cent above out of 14, 08,594 students passed in the examination. And, 11.45 per cent of students were placed in compartment category. 

Students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya pushed the Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools from the top spot and stood first with an overall pass percentage of 97.31, followed by KV schools with 95.96 per cent standing in the second position.
