GST refund drive launched in Telangana

​Hyderabad: Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (Telangana State) Principal Commissioner B B Agarwal on Thursday said that the board is observing a special refund fortnight from May 31 to June 14 to facilitate quick processing and sanctioning of claims for Good and Service Tax (GST) refunds.

The official said that all claimants are requested to approach the jurisdictional tax officers during the special refund fortnight for getting GST refund claims sanctions which were submitted on or before April 30 this year.

In case of  ITS refunds, the taxpayers are advised to apply for refund in form GST RFD -01A on the common portal www.gst.gov.in and thereafter submit the printout of the form along with supporting documents to the jurisdictional tax office of centre or State to which the taxpayer had been assigned to. Agarwal warned of stringent against the taxpayers who did not file returns till date.
