Komatireddy wants immediate restoration of his rights as MLA

Hyderabad : Welcoming the verdict of division bench of Hyderabad High Court which dismissed the petition filed by 12 TRS MLAs seeking expulsion of two Congress MLAs, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy demanded that the State Government immediately restore his rights and privileges as Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly. Similarly, he said all rights of Alampur MLA A. Sampath Kumar should be restored.
 
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Komatireddy said that the High Court has maintained the order of single bench which revoked the expulsion of his and Sampath Kumar's membership of Assembly. He said all their rights should be restored within a day. Else, he threatened that he would file a contempt petition against Assembly Secretary.
 
He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was acting as a dictator and resorting to open violation of law.
 
Meanwhile, Congress Legislature Party leader K. Jana Reddy denied allegations that the Congress party has failed to pressurise the State Government on the issue of expulsion of two MLAs. He said that the Congress party has strongly condemned the action and also made representations to the Governor and other relevant personalities.
 
TPCC Chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy also welcomed the HC verdict and described it as a slap on the face of TRS Government.
