Tenders for multi-level parking complexes in Hyderabad in one month: CS
Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi informed that tenders for construction of multi-level parking complexes in Hyderabad city under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode would be called within a month.
The Chief Secretary made the announcement during a high-level review meeting held at the State Secretariat on Wednesday. GHMC Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan, Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration & Urban Development Arvind Kumar, Finance Secretary Shiva Shankar, HMRL MD NVS Reddy, Law Secretary Niranjan Rao, Rangareddy Collector Raghunandan Rao, TSIIC MD Narasimha Reddy and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary said so far 42 places have been identified for the construction of multi-level parking complexes in the city. He said the proposals received from public and private firms were thoroughly studied. He said the design and concept of proposed parking complexes would be unique and innovative. He said the services of international experts would be engaged to execute the plan.
GHMC Mayor Rammohan informed that chain parking system is being reviewed to constructed complexes on spaces of 100-500 sq yards.
Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited will be the nodal agency for multi-level parking complexes. It is proposed to emulate the parking systems of Germany, China, Japan and South Korea by using modern technology.
